Vandeventer Middle School Campus Fundraiser
One-Check Fundraiser
Would you like for the students at Vandeventer Middle School to have access to the latest technology, informative guest speakers, and updated resources? Would you like for the teachers to have access to additional supplies to support learning in their classrooms? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then this is your opportunity to jump in and help support Vandeventer students and teachers! How can you help? You can help by donating from the various levels below to support the Vandeventer Vikings.
____ $25.00 - I do not want to bake anything or buy anything “store bought” for a bake sale.
____ $50.00 - I do not want to sell cookie dough, wrapping paper, popcorn or chocolate.
____ $75.00 – I do not want to walk or run in any activity that has the word “thon” in it.
____ $100.00 or other – I am making this donation to express my appreciation for not having to buy or sell anything. :0)
*Please bring your donation to the secretary at the front desk of Vandeventer Middle School. You may bring cash or check (made payable to Vandeventer Middle School).
Thank you in advance for your support! Your donation is greatly appreciated!
News from the Nurse
Our campus is beginning to see signs of sickness. With that being said, please do not send your student to school if they have a fever. Doing so, puts your student as well as other students and faculty at risk. A fever, per our district policy is defined as a temperature of 100 degrees or above. In order to return to school, a student must be fever free without the use of fever-reducing medications for 24 hours before they can return. Protect yourself and your loved ones by doing the following:
- Taking a flu shot
- Washing your hands frequently or using hand sanitizer
- Stay home when you are sick
- Covering your cough
Let’s keep flu and other illnesses out of school!!!
Have a safe, healthy, and Happy Thanksgiving Break
Athletic Event Student Expectations
It's Basketball Season!
We are excited that basketball season has arrived! Please help us reiterate the campus and district game expectations to your student as we continue to support our athletes through the season.
- Students must be in the district approved dress code at the game.
Students should remain in the stands or gym to watch the games and limit their trips to the concession and restroom areas to halftime and between games. Students are not allowed to loiter/hang out around the concession and restroom area at any time.
Once students leave the game, they are not allowed to return.
- Students’ conduct should promote sportsmanship and reflect Vandeventer in a positive and respectful manner. Conversations should be appropriate and profanity is prohibited.
- Students should not have the following items or similar items with them: football, soccer ball, tennis ball, skate board, scooter, etc. Please leave items such as these in the car or at home.
- Students must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after the conclusion of the game in order to attend future extracurricular events. Students are encouraged to call parents at the beginning of the last quarter rather than waiting until the game is over. Administrators will wait with students until they are picked up to ensure student safety, so please ensure that your student has a ride immediately following the game.
- Students not meeting these expectations may be asked to sit with their parents (if parents are present), or to call their parents to pick them up. Students may also not be allowed to return for future extracurricular events.
- Food and drink are prohibited from being brought into either gym.
Thank you so much for your support of our Vandeventer Viking athletes, families and spectators – we’ll see you at the games! GO VIKINGS!

Academic Pentathlon
It’s time to start thinking about Academic Pentathlon. Academic Pentathlon will allow you, as a middle school student, a chance to start experiencing the benefits of Academic Decathlon before entering high school. Pentathlon is open to 7th and 8th grade students, and our topic this year is In Sickness and In Health: A study of Illness and Wellness. Study packets will be available in Mrs. Roberts’s room (E110) or Ms. Buzan’s room (D101) starting November 18th. The Qualifier will be held after school on Monday, December 9th.
