Dear Parent(s),

Congratulations to Mrs. Lisa Rowland for receiving approximately $15,000 for our Breakfast Program. The money received from the Breakfast club of Canada will be used to support our breakfast program for the remainder of the school year and the purchase of new equipment.

This week GYPSD provided our students with two additional reusable masks. The masks will be distributed to homeroom teachers and handed out to students on Monday Dec. 6th. We have been supplying disposable masks on average of 65/day. Providing reusable masks we hope will reduce the environmental waste and the direct cost to the school. Please help us by ensure your child arrives to school with a mask, we are unable to maintain this cost of providing masks on an ongoing basis.

Cyber Safety is as important now as if ever been, so I have included information regarding the app, TikTok for you to consider and a discussion point with your child.

Lastly, I'd like to sincerely thank Mrs. Samantha Leggett for her dedication towards our students and wish her the best of luck as she moves on to new adventures at Parkland Composite High School.

Pine Grove is offering an optional Hockey Hooky field trip to Rogers Place in Edmonton on February 8, 2022. Oil Kings vs. Regina Pats. Permission forms will be available in the office starting November 16th and tickets can be purchased in the office for $40.00 each (100 tickets ONLY). Please note that if you are interested in attending, the venue (Rogers Place) has an implemented proof of vaccination rule as of Sept 28, 2021. When purchasing tickets, your proof of vaccination will need to be shown in order to secure your spot on the trip. If you are planning to attend and bring a negative test result on the day of the event, that can be communicated as well. Please note that any testing or vaccinations for this event will be at your own expense and your own choice, as this is an optional field trip.

How to Form Meaningful Friendships

Pine Grove is collecting for the Kinette Hamper. Please bring in a new toy or non-perishable food item to donate. When you bring in a donation, you will be able to enter your name for a Christmas Holiday Planter to enjoy with your family during the holidays. The deadline for donations is December 15th. Please check at the office for more information.
