Ludlow Independent Schools
August 11, 2020 Update on the Opening of School
School Opening on Remote Learning Plan
As announced by the Governor yesterday, August 10th, it is recommended that schools delay in-person classes until September 28th. To ensure the safety of students, families, and staff members, Ludlow Independent Schools will open on August 26th using the Remote Learning Plan. Under this plan, all students will work virtually every day, Monday through Friday. There will be times when students need to log in at a designated time of the day to connect "live" with his/her class. Much of the instruction will also take place "at your own time" each day, where students are working in a program and watching instructional videos made by the teacher and completing work related to that instruction.
Your patience is greatly appreciated as we adjust our activities for starting the school year.
We will communicate details in the next few days related to:
- Picking Up Schedules
- Finding Out Who My Teachers Are
- Picking Up Laptops
- Getting Back-to-School Paperwork Completed
- Updating My Parent/Emergency Contact Information
- Logging in to My Google Classroom
- How Meals Will Be Served During Remote Learning Time
We miss our panthers.
We're excited to connect with you soon, even if it has to be done virtually!
School Fees
We are waiving school fees this year for all enrolled students. If you've already paid your child's school fees, we will reimburse you.
The cost for tuition for non-Ludlow residents, $250.00 per student, will remain in place.
