While the weather was a bit chilly, wet and windy, the Class of 2023 was still recognized and celebrated by thousands of family, friends and faculty on Saturday afternoon. This special group of graduates accomplished so much over their time in the Marshfield Public Schools and the impact they have had on the MHS community will be felt for years to come.

Thank you to our graduates and our guests for making the best of a unique situation and I can honestly say, this was the first time I saw everyone doing the "wave" at a graduation.

Also, we want to wish Principal Keuther our best, as he oversaw his 19th and final graduation ceremony at MHS on Saturday. Principal Keuther will be retiring at the end of the month and we cannot thank him enough for all he has done for the MHS community over the years.

Congratulations & best of luck to the Class of 2023. You will be missed.

Thanks to the amazing work of countless volunteers, the MHS Class of 2023 was able to enjoy a wonderful and safe, post-graduation celebration at MHS at the annual Grad Night Live Party. This caring crew of individuals worked for months building sets and doing artwork that they then brought to the school to transform it into an amazing atmosphere and fun space. This year's theme was Broadway plays.

Beyond the work of the volunteers, there are numerous organizations, companies and individuals who donated funds, food and their time to ensure the graduates have a night they will always remember. This was the 27th Grad Night Live and it was amazing. Thank you so much to the Grad Nite Live Board and the army of volunteers who worked so hard on behalf of our seniors.

The annual MHS Senior Awards Night took place on Thursday evening and it was a terrific celebration of our graduating seniors and a testament to the generosity of the Marshfield community. Year after year, individuals, groups, companies and trusts, reward the hard working graduates with hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships. As a teacher and school leader since 1991, I’ve never seen the amount of support that is on display each spring here in Marshfield. This year was no different, as 194 seniors received scholarships totaling $286,580. The impact that this type of support has on our students is immeasurable and the collective generosity of Marshfield is greatly appreciated.

Friday was a perfect day for dozens of MHS students to launch boats they built or refurbished over the past year (or two) in their Marine Fabrication/Boat Building course. The craftsmanship on display was amazing and it's important to note that ALL of the vessels floated.

The sense of pride among students, teachers and family members was clearly on display and the event was a terrific celebration of the talents of our students. Job well done!

(A message from Principal Keuther)

Marshfield High School hosted a New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) Decennial Accreditation Team on March 5 – 8, 2023. The purpose of this visit was to review and determine from an outside professional viewpoint the extent to which our high school is aligned with the Standards for Accreditation. Below is a link to our NEASC Team’s final report that was delivered on May 3, 2023. We are sharing the document with you for informational purposes. The recommendations contained within will be one of the metrics we use when developing future school improvement plans. The NEASC Commission on Public Schools will review this document prior to their spring meeting in June, where they will vote on continuing our accreditation status for the next 10 years. We will inform you of their decision this summer.
