Halloween Costumes

Please keep the following guidelines in mind when consider costumes that are appropriate for school. Costumes may be warn on Monday, October 31st.

Costumes must:

Leave the face uncovered
Not have any blood, gore, violence, or weapons
Allow the student to fully engage in learning
Meet dress code expectations for coverage and content
Inflatable costumes should NOT be worn.

Hot Challenges

We have recently had a number of students bringing in different hot food/candy challenges to school. An announement was made to all students regarding this topic. These items should NOT be brought to school. Any items brought to school will be confiscated due to safety concerns and overall disruption they cause. Please be sure to reinforce this information with your student.

Additional Information

Any students currently involved or potentially interested in sports, must be registered on Final Forms and have a current sports physical uploaded to their Final Forms account before participating in tryouts/team practices.

Student Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders

Our goal for drop off and pick up is to ensure the safety of students and staff while providing an efficient process. Please read the reminders below.

Pull all the way forward in the circle drive, as far as possible.
Make sure your student is ready to exit the car in the morning, and quick to enter the car after school.
Please do not park in the circle drive.
Avoid dropping students off in the bus area after 7:30 (see diagram).
Be patient and drive slowly in all parking lots. Staff and students are walking in parking lots before and after school, we need to ensure their safety.
At the end of the day, pull all the way in and around the circle drive. Refrain from pickup up students at the end of the driveway near Giles.

Absences

We appreciate the communication our office is receiving when your child is not able to come to school. In some cases, when information is left on the absent voicemail it may take some time to process and input the information. Please allow us 24 hours to ensure attendance is accurate before calling in to verify attendance. We will continue to do our very best to make sure attendance is accurate and completed in a timely manner. Additionally, please make sure to communicate through the office when your students must be picked up from school. This will help us to ensure your child's safety.
