Need to put in an attendance request for your student(s)? Parents and guardians have 3 options:
1. Use the skyward app from your phone or computer:
- Attendance tab
- Attendance request
- Add request
- Put in information for absence
- Time gone and reason, comment if needed
- Submit
2. Email bhsatt@basd.k12.wi.us with the student’s first and last name (spelled), grade, reason for absence, your name and relationship to student and contact number if questions.
3. Or phone 262-763-0200 ext 1198 and leave a message with the student’s first and last name (spelled), grade, reason for absence, your name and relationship to student and contact number if questions.
If a student is leaving for the day or for an appointment, an email pass will be written from the attendance email address. If the appointment is for a medical issue, please have your student bring back a note from the doctor’s office upon return to school, and drop off at the attendance desk.
Bus passes are also written from the attendance desk
Student drop off and pick up, in the back of the building
Please remember to be patient with the attendance desk, especially If your student is ill and needs to come home ASAP!

Student Athletes
- If you love playing your sport and might be open to playing in college, please make sure you are familiarizing yourself with the NCAA requirements to help you plan out your high school experience. Here is the most recent presentation that has a lot of important information to help you. Please make sure you are communicating with your School Counselor about this as well, so they can help you make sure you are eligible for recruitment in your Junior and Senior year.
From Student Services
Counselors have visited senior advisories and are currently visiting freshman advisories as part of our academic and career planning process. Your school counselor is setting up individual planning conferences with your student, please stay tuned for emails detailing that further. October Highlights
October Safety Month
October was School Safety Month, and each week BHS did a safety drill. We were impressed with the level of focus and attention demonstrated by BHS students and Staff! Below is a summary of the drills that took place:
- Tuesday, October 3rd: "Fire" Drill
- Tuesday, October 10th: "Tornado" Drill
- Tuesday, October 17th: "Run" Drill
- Tuesday, October 24th: "Hide" Drill
- Tuesday, October 31st: "Fight" Drill
As we move throughout the year, please continue to encourage your student to report any concerning behavior or information that they hear or see. When students report their concerns, it allows for a swift administrative response.
When a potential threat is reported to administration, we take it seriously and follow the Wisconsin Department of Justice - Office of School Safety threat assessment protocol. This is the recommended threat assessment process for all schools in the State of Wisconsin.
As always, thank you for your partnership in ensuring the safety and well-being of our school community.
Unity Day
On October 18th, BHS advisory homerooms came together in a spectacular show of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to mark Unity Day.
Our entire school united in spreading the anti-bullying message and making a pledge to be kinder, more accepting, and inclusive every day.
Activities included:
Door Decorating Rock & Pumpkin Painting Football & Frisbee Unity Walk Positive Post-it Notes on Lockers Treats for All Chalk Messages on Sidewalks School Forest Maintenance and MUCH, MUCH MORE!
Let's continue to spread love, kindness, and acceptance in our community. Together, we can make the world a better place.
