Deener Employees Are in the Holiday Spirit!

SHS Orchestra Students Names to All-Region Orchestra
Congratulations to Searcy orchestra students for being named to the South Region All-Region Orchestra. These students are Allison Cleveland, Avery Crisp,Easton Faulkner, Isabella Biggs, Aurora Long, Ellie Huff, Gracie Jobe, Anna Killins, Phoenix Pruitt, and Emily Miller. The Orchestra program is under the direction of Rochelle Cobb.
Searcy School District Hosts Migrant Night
On Thursday, November 10th at Southwest Middle School, students, families, and staff from the Searcy Migrant Education Program enjoyed the presentation from the Little Rock Zoo about animals and their amazing creature features. In this photo, the animal handler from the Little Rock Zoo is showing off Twister the ball python. It was a fabulous night of learning for everyone involved!
Ahlf Junior High School Earns EAST Upgrade Grant
SHS Student Government Promotes Service
In October, as part of an SHS Pep Rally, Searcy High School students participated in a Pink Out Day. As part of the activities leading up to the pep rally, SHS Student Council held a fundraiser to donate money to CARTI Searcy Auxiliary. The Auxiliary is dedicated to the care of cancer patients and provides voluntary, non medical service to the local radiation therapy center and its patients. Through a class fundraiser competition, the SHS Student Body raised over $750.00 to donate to the Auxiliary.

Inclusion Film Festival
Searcy School District Special Education Department attended the Inclusion Film Festival at Pulaski Technical Institute. Searcy High School was represented in the festival from camp attendees last year.
Southwest Students Participate in Shark Tank
Southwesst Middle School 5th grade students participate in the Y.E.S. Business Competition. The students presented their inventions to "sharks" at the annual shark tank event. The 5th grade G/T program is taught by Mrs. Katie Lawson.
