Our 3rd-5th graders are in the middle of taking 6 tests for the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) annual state assessment. This year there are 3 ELA and 3 Math tests taken.

Usually there are only 2 ELA tests, but this year Euclid was chosen to field test an ELA unit. The field test is comprised of newly developed questions that are being screened by Pearson for use on future assessments. That particular test does not count toward a student's score report.

We are very proud of all of our Eagles during these big testing windows. The students taking the tests are doing their best and working hard to meet the challenging requirements of the assessment. Meanwhile, our littlest Eagles are making every effort to remain as quiet as possible during passing periods while the big kids are testing.

Testing and make up testing will occur through all of next week.

You will be receiving separate emails during the next month with information specific to end of year activities and your child's transition to River Trails Middle School. Please be sure to check emails frequently. To be intentionally repetitive:

This letter was emailed to families last week with directions and links for families to register their students for all River Trails Schools.

Registration Assistance Day

Euclid is hosting a Registration Assistance Day for any family that needs help in completing the enrollment process:

• When: Wednesday, April 20, 2022

• Where: Euclid Elementary School (711 E. Euclid) Enter through Door 17

• What time: 9-11 a.m. OR 5-7:30 p.m.

• No appointment is necessary.

Fees

During the registration process, you will be asked to pay student fees for the 2022-2023 school year. You can find a summary of these fees and a student fee philosophy on our website. Please keep in mind that fees will increase on May 1, 2022.

The River Trails Education Foundation’s annual Flower and Plant Sale is back this year. This is the RTEF’s largest fundraiser and will help provide enrichment programs for the district’s four schools. Orders are due by April 11 and the pick-up date is May 7 (the day before Mother’s Day). Orders can be placed online. There is also more information available on our website.
