PIVOT!

That is our new mantra in education. As we traverse these unchartered waters, we find ourselves in constant conversation about what is best for our students and staff. This also causes us to sometimes have to pivot and change direction from our original plans in order to do that. Please know that our staff is working hard to provide the best education possible for your children. Sometimes this goes as planned. Sometimes we pivot to move to a better plan, but our goal never changes... to provide a quality education to every child in Prosper ISD. Thank you for your continued patience and support and for being a part of the TEAM in your child's education!

COVID-19 Daily Screening

Parents should review the COVID-19 Screening Questions on the District website each day before sending their child to any in-person Prosper ISD activity. If your child tests positive, has been exposed to a COVID positive individual, or has one or more of the symptoms on the screening questionnaire, use the link at the bottom of the questionnaire to notify the school nurse and do NOT send your child to school until receiving clearance to return from the school nurse.


*If your child has a chronic condition that presents as one of the symptoms on the screening questionnaire, it is recommended that you contact the school nurse and your child's teacher about the chronic symptom so that both of these key school personnel are aware.

Child Nutrition Assistance

The deadline to apply for P-EBT food benefits has been extended to August 21st. Did your child receive free or reduced-price school meals through the National School Lunch Program during the 2019-2020 school year? If so, your family may be eligible for this one-time food benefit. Visit hhs.texas.gov/pebt to learn more about P-EBT. For questions regarding eligibility or if you need help applying, contact the P-EBT Call Center at 833-613-6220. The public charge rule does not apply to P-EBT benefits.

"Be Kind" T-Shirts - Order Yours Today

Hope Squad has organized "Be Kind" yellow T-Shirts as a symbol to simply be kind to one another, which is why you often see yellow shirts and apparel throughout our district on every Wednesday of each month. This stems from supporting the cause of suicide awareness and prevention. This year we have two shirt options for you to choose from and purchase through myschoolbucks for $10. Orders will be placed monthly and delivered to your child's campus. The first order will be placed September 1st.


Please log into your "MySchoolBucks" account to order your t-shirt. The shirt will be delivered to your child's campus.


Children's Health Stadium will be lit up yellow every Wednesday evening as a simple reminder for our community to exercise kindness. SO, if you find yourself driving around Prosper any Wednesday evening, run by the stadium to enjoy PISD's symbol for kindness.

Light Our Town Blue

During the entire month of September the Town of Prosper, Texas Government, and Prosper ISD are partnering together to show community support for our local police.


How you can participate:

  • Add blue light bulbs to your front porch light and/or landscape lighting to show your support!
  • The Town and PISD will be lighting the Preston Monument, The Cupola and the Stadium the entire month!
