PTA Winter Playdate-Tomorrow!

Join us for the Somerset Winter Playdate from 10a - 1p on Saturday, February 26 at Friendly Hills Park! Join your Somerset friends for sledding and skating. Bring your sleds and skates for a good time! Some sleds will be available to share. PTA will provide Hot Chocolate!

This weekend is the LAST CHANCE to get early-bird pricing on your Somerset Social tickets!

The Somerset silent action is an adult-only social event and the school’s annual fundraiser. There will be food and appetizers, cash bar and a LIVE BAND! The Billee Jo Hall Band will be playing all your favorites throughout the night. You will have the chance to bid on donated items, services, and events. 100% of the proceeds are used for educational and enrichment programs, resources and equipment for the students. It's a great way to meet parents, socialize, and raise money for our school!

Date: Saturday, March 5th, 2022 – 6:30pm - 10:30pm

Location: Southview Country Club - 239 Mendota Rd E, West St Paul, MN 55118

Tickets: $15 for first-time attendees $25 before Feb. 21 $35 regular admission

Read Across America Month

At Somerset we love to read and we continue our celebration of reading with Read Across America month in March each year!

We will have at home reading challenges, dress up days, high school readers, bookmark contest, and a crowd favorite: The Book Character Parade!

After-School Class--Eagan Art House--Weaving! Last chance to register!

Join the Eagan Art House for after school art! Discover and explore the time-tested technology of weaving. Strength, durability, beauty, and utility all describe the many practices and uses of weaving with different materials throughout history. This workshop series will feature two beginner weaving projects that let kids design and build with different techniques of creating durable and decorative objects for everyday life. Create a hanging fabric tapestry and a basket for collecting treasures on any adventure!

Register HERE by Tuesday 3/1 at 12pm. Class starts Wednesday 3/2.

MCA Testing Dates

MCA Testing (Minnesota's state accountability test) takes place in Reading and Math for all 3rd and 4th grade students. Our testing dates/times will be as follows:

Reading: April 12 and 13, 8:30-10:30am (April 14-reserved if needed)

Math: April 19 and 20, 8:30-10:30am (April 21-reserved if needed)

Please do your best to make sure your child is in attendance on testing days.
