Be a district respected by others as a model of excellence in student achievement.
MISSION STATEMENT:
To prepare our students with exceptional character, knowledge, and skills to thrive in their changing world
From Mr. Soderberg
Hello SCC Families,
It's hard to believe that we are closing in on the end of our first semester of the 2020-2021 school year. This year has not been without many challenges but I couldn't be more pleased with the efforts of our students, staff, and families to make this a productive and enjoyable first semester.
The families we serve have been extremely gracious and accommodating throughout the school year and we appreciate that very much. On behalf of our staff, I want to thank all of our families for their continued support.
Let's have a great second semester.
Go Panthers,
Mr. Soderberg
REMINDER: Classes are in session of Friday, January 8th
Semester Academic Expectations for Students
- Students will have until the final day of the semester (1/15/2021) to demonstrate their understanding of the essential standards through assignments, assessments, and reassessments
- At 3:30 pm on the last day of the semester (1/15/2021), the students will be assigned the academic letter grade they’ve earned to that point
- Students are expected to complete all work and reassessments by the end of the semester
- The best choice for students is to do the work now
Second Semester Schedules
As 1st semester is coming to a close, students are reminded to check their course schedules for 2nd semester on Skyward.
All 2nd-semester schedules will be final on Friday, January 15th at 3:30 pm. Students should contact their assigned counselor (Mr. Madigan A-J or Mrs. Klein K-Z) and/or Mrs. Deno before then to request any changes. No course change requests will be accepted following the conclusion of the 1st semester.
Student Behavior Feedback
Student behavioral feedback is entered on Friday of every other week and can be found within Family Access. The behaviors are rated by frequency as provided below and do not impact the academic grade. The feedback is designed to simply inform parents of the observed behaviors of their child.
Behavior Rating Scale (Frequency)
O = Often
S = Sometimes
R = Rarely
