The expiration date has been extended to October 13th for temporary bus passes. Please go to your original online order to reprint your extended temporary bus pass. When transportation delivers the bus passes to MVMS, your student will be notified.

The San Diego County Office of Education and Computers2Kids are hosting an event for families to purchase affordable computers on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at San Marcos Elementary School 1 Tiger Way, San Marcos CA 92069 (Drive Thru Event). Since July 2023 the partnership between SDCOE and Computers2Kids has provided over 1,288 refurbished computers to 797 San Diego families. We hope your families are able to benefit from this event. More Than A Meal is a program which can provide support to your family. Families who qualify for assistance may qualify for additional support including discounts on fees for SAT, ACT, AP tests, home internet costs, passes for public transportation, and application fees associated with colleges and universities. Please complete the online application or the paper application which can be obtained from the Front Office (only one application per family).

Mt. Carmel Football Games

All middle school students attending Mt. Carmel football games must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Groups of students will no longer be allowed to enter with the parent of another student. Middle school students who attempt to enter without their parent or legal guardian will be denied admission to the game.

A Bike Permit will be required for all bicycles, scooters, E-bikes and skateboards beginning Monday, October 2nd. If your student turned in the MVMS Student Bicycle/Scooter/E-Bike/Skateboard Parking Permit Application and passed the online quiz, an email will be sent out next week with information on how to pick up your Parking Permit. For students who turned in an application but did not pass the online quiz, you will receive a separate email with information on retaking the quiz in-person.

• Mon/Tues/Thu/Friday: 11:30 to 1:00
• Wednesdays: 11:20 to 12:45

Quizbowl is a fast-paced Academic Trivia club, which competes in competitions against other schools across San Diego, and across the country similar to Jeopardy. Subjects range from history and fine arts, to science, literature, mythology, pop culture and even sports. We meet online via zoom meetings each Tuesday, from 4:30 to 5:30. No experience is required! Join the google classroom where more information is posted or contact wvhsqb@gmail.com.

Rancho Penasquitos Recreational Basketball League registration is from Sept. 1 thru Nov. 15 and games will start Jan 6, 2024. The league is open to 3rd grade and up.
