Research shows there is a direct correlation between academic achievement and school attendance! The Northwest R-1 School District believes that regular school attendance is critical to high student achievement, graduation, and ultimately, successful employment. It is our goal to partner with parents and students to maintain good attendance throughout the year.
What can parents do to help?
· Send your child to school on time every day.
· Make education a priority!
· Obtain prompt medical attention when your child is sick.
· Schedule family trips and doctor’s appointments when school is not in session.
· Talk with your child about the importance of an education and emphasize the role education plays throughout life.
