Welcome to the 2023-2024 School Year
We are excited to get the school year started and have students from our 6 sending districts in attendance! All of our teachers and staff have returned from last year and have been preparing for an amazing year ahead. We look forward to continuing the growth of our community-business partnerships that provide such great opportunities for our students. Our school districts continue to be supportive of career and technical education, and we welcome new students to our school community again this year. We hope you get an idea of the great things that are students are doing here at LycoCTC through our monthly newsletter. Please share it with others, and consider following us on Facebook and Instagram.

First Days for Students
Expectations-Work Ethic-Employability Skills
As part of our vision, mission, and goals this year we will be placing an emphasis on common expectations and work ethic standards for students across all of our programs. We understand the essential need locally and nationally for graduates to possess the knowledge, skills, and habits to contribute positively to their communities. Our staff are dedicated to the following expectations and work ethic standards that are aligned and support employability skills in career ready individuals.
Our school expectations align with our work ethic standards!
Our work ethic standards align to employability skills!
Employability skills are necessary for our global economy!
Our 2nd year teachers move to Intern Certification and continue coursework!
Cooperative Education Program Placements Start Strong
We have 8 students starting in our cooperative education program this month! This is a great opportunity for seniors to gain work based learning experience while completing their high school academic classes and LycoCTC program of study.
Ms. Cooley (Workforce Development Coordinator) and our teachers have been collaborating with local businesses to finalize placements and training plans for each student. There has also been great support from our sending schools to adjust these students' schedules to maximize their time in cooperative education.
We appreciate everyone involved in making these opportunities work for students!
Health Careers Students Ready for CNA Test!
Katelin Emick (Montoursville HS), along with Madison Yaple, Emily DePew, and Victoria Vogt (Muncy HS) will each be taking their CNA exam this weekend. They've completing their traiing this summer at UPMC and have been well prepared by Mrs. Shaffer in our Health Careers program.
Construction Trades HBI BuildYOU!
This fall our Construction Trades program will be incorporating the HBI BuildYOU! resource into the daily routines and specific projects. This will allow students to think differently about the trades while developing an entreprenuarial mindset. Students will also have the opportunity to consider the power of social media influence in the future of the trades.
