Report Card Release Date
Report cards will be released on Tuesday, November 21. Please use this time to celebrate students who have made extraordinary marks for the first quarter. Also, this can be a time of reflection for students who may have found several obstacles as an opportunity for intervention and planning for improvement. Please work with your grade level administrators and professional school counselors in setting up conferences to have conversations about your child's performance and ways that we can support you in helping them to reach their potential.
Largo High School Names New Band Director
Douglas Gilchrist has been named as Largo High School new Band Director. Mr. Gilchrist was introduced to band parents and students on November 16. Mr. Gilchrist brings many years of teaching experience to the position and will begin holding band practice on Monday, November 27. If your child is interested in this activity, whether they have experience or not, please stop by the instrumental music room to learn more about this opportunity.
Largo Student Government Association Holds First Student Town Hall
Largo Student Government Association (SGA) held its first student-led townhall meeting on Thursday, November 16. SGA officers worked with student representation across all grade levels on team-building, and sharing critical information from the most recent countywide SGA meeting. Student leaders also gave opportunities to students to share their perspectives on initiatives that are going well and where the school can make improvements. We are proud of our student leaders for taking initiative in elevating the student voice in our community.
