We want to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful and dedicated school nurses caring for students and staff within our FUSD schools. It has been a challenging year and you all rose to the challenges and continued to provide excellent care to everyone in your buildings! You worked tirelessly to keep our schools safe and healthy. Nurses are superheroes and FUSD appreciates you all very much!

Janette Bressler Named Outstanding Master's Student in Educational Leadership
Congratulations to Janette Bressler, 21st Century Coordinator and ELL Specialist at Killip Elementary School, for being named the 2022 Outstanding Master's Student in Educational Leadership at Northern Arizona University!

Employee Contracts for the 2022-2023 School Year
Note that these contracts will reflect your current 2021-2022 hourly rate/salary. The Compensation Committee is currently working on a compensation package for the 2022-2023 school year. Once a package has been presented and adopted by the Governing Board, staff will receive a salary addendum reflecting the appropriate compensation for 2022-2023. Salary addendums will also reflect any salary advancement credit for professional learning submitted in January 2022. Individuals who participated in salary advancement will receive advance communication on your calculation and amount that will be applied.
Open Enrollment for Benefits Now Available for the 2022-2023 School Year
The 2022-2023 Flagstaff Unified School District annual Open Enrollment period is currently underway for benefit-eligible employees. This year's Open Enrollment period extends from May 17, 2022, to June 3, 2022. Open Enrollment provides you with the opportunity to review your current benefit elections, and decide what benefit options are best for you and your family. Please review your enrollment materials carefully.
If you do not make changes, your current elections, other than Flexible Spending Accounts, will rollover to the next plan year. Your election changes must be received by June 3, 2022, in order to ensure that your benefits are available on July 1, 2022.

The retirement class of 2022 has served a cumulative 670 years of passion and commitment to the Flagstaff Unified School District. You all have served in many capacities over the years and we are truly grateful for all you have done and given to our students. For those returning next year as returning retirees, we look forward to many more memories with you. For those moving onto new endeavors, thank you for the memories.
