Maternity
For me, maternity means Goddess Status. As a mommy myself to one remarkable, little girl, I know that nothing is as special as this time in your life. It is also a time when we aren't feeling our normal, pretty selves. I can help change that, and show you just how beautiful you really are. We'll wrap you in a long flowing scarf (I have a few colors in my collection), seat you, outdoors in nature and in a comfortable vintage chair, then... goddess! My moms-to-be all love their elegant, soft images.
Graduation Time!
These days, gradation photos are almost like a modeling composite. Long gone, are stuffy studios, boring backdrops, one hand under the chin, smile and -click! Things have really changed, and for the better! This session is so much fun for all in involved. We can head over to Belle Isle, and find gorgeous spaces to shoot in, or if you prefer a more rural background, we can do that, too. It's your day; your shoot!
You're You
You're a unit, you're close, sometimes you're silly, you're always real, in a nutshell -you're YOU. When I photograph your family, I work to capture you just being yourselves. Playing, interacting, and living life. I go for candid, fun images, that depict who this family really is. Yes, some are traditional portraits that you can send to Grandma during the Holidays, but the best in set are the photos that make you laugh, and say, "Yep! That's us!"
Family
Sweetness, all around. This was a $125 Mini, shot here at my home. Wonderfully candid, fun (and pretty adorable) images resulted. My clients were as happy with their session as they look!
Engagement
Themed Engagement Session. A beautiful couple, who are now married (yes! I shot their wedding, too) asked me to do a fun, urban, and themed engagement shoot for them. Here we went from a redheaded, Marilyn and a classic James Dean to Sandy and Danny. This is my "IT" couple.
I'm Around on Weekends. Yep, Sundays, too!
I am available to shoot on most days of the week, but with the realization that everyone is at work during that time, I understand that weekends are usually best. I'm available during these hours to accommodate you!
Regarding my ongoing, Mini: We'll shoot here, outdoors, with your session taking about an hour, or less, of your time. Concerning other photographic services, including Photoshop i.e. retouching/restoration, nip/tuck, image-manipulation, and all of the goodies --prices vary, depending on your needs. This is all about you! I vow to deliver magic. I'm incapable of nothing but the very best, am a Photoshop veteran, and am extremely passionate about my craft.
Fashion/Self-Exploration
Self-Exploration Session with a stunning, and quite fierce, yet gentle woman. This is an example of both fashion photography, and Photoshop/post-production skill. In PS, I took my creative license, and did a brave tintype overlay to give this something special. Those shadows were a gift from the Sun.

Now, Pronounced
I will scout the area surrounding your ceremony, far in advance to find the best spots for photo opportunities. This is so important! In the photo above, I had discovered an abandoned barn behind the venue this couple was married in. I look for interesting, natural backgrounds, and shoot, candidly. This day was sprinkled with rain, so I grabbed my trusty, red umbrella (which is always in the hatch of my truck) and created an unforgettable image.
Together
This couple needed no scouting. They were married barefoot, next to a waterfall at the Ford Estate in Dearborn. Their pictures are just gorgeous, and I enjoyed shooting this wedding so, very much. I was filthy, afterwards, from crouching, climbing, rolling around, and doing pretty much anything I had to do to capture the very best. I enjoyed every minute of it. I am brave in post production, and this is an example of the artistic freedom, given to me by the bride and groom.
Forever
A stunning bride in a vintage context. I tend to shoot like a photojournalist, rather than in a posed 'bride staring at her bouquet' style. Your wedding is unique. You are not a number on a list of weddings I must shoot. Not in my book. I literally chronicle your day from beginning, when you're getting ready, to end, when you're cutting the cake, and dancing with your father or mother. I have an eye for detail, and know what not to miss: Like the look on a groom's face as he watches his bride walking towards him.
