September 8th | Mum Fundraiser Begins

• Help support Midview West through our mum fundraiser! Orders are due by Monday, September 25th. Pick-up will be at the Midview West Playground on Friday, October 6th.

September 11th | First Day for Kindergarten

• We are excited to welcome our new kindergarten students! Please remember that parents are not permitted to walk students to their classrooms. We will have plenty of staff to greet our kindergarteners and help them get to their classrooms.

September 14th | Volley for the Cure

• Midview High School Varsity Volleyball coach Kate Kasper was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. On September 14, please join us for our Volley for the Cure game and fundraiser (raffle baskets, 50/50, and bake sale) in support of Kate and her family. All tickets will be pulled during the Varsity game, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

September 21st | Early Release Day

• The district will have our first early release of the school year on September 21. Remember, West students will be dismissed at 1:15 p.m. this day.

September 22nd | Picture Day

• Midview West will have picture day on Friday, September 22nd. Order forms will not be sent home. All orders must be placed online at www.cavanaughphoto.com/order. If you'd like to pay with cash or check, you will need to print the order form and send it in the day of pictures.

September 26-29 | Youth Cheerleading Camp

• The camp will teach basic cheerleading skills. All campers receive a t-shirt and perform with the high school cheerleaders during the first half of the Varsity Football Game on 9/29/23. Sign-up here.

Join PTA Today

• Joining PTA is a great way to be involved in our schools and to give back to our teachers and kids. This year, we have been challenged by Keystone Elementary! The district with the highest percentage of family and staff memberships by Friday, September 29 will be crowned PTA champion. The losing school's principal will have to wear the winning school's colors for a spirit day in October. Help Mrs. Breha stay in Midview Blue by joining PTA today!

Free and Reduced-Price Meals

• Did you know that your child may qualify for free or reduced-price meals? Midview Local Schools encourages all families who believe they may be eligible to apply. Review these income guidelines to see if you qualify.

• North, East, and West student lunches: $3.00 (Reduced price = $0.40)
• Breakfast (all grades): $1.90 (Reduced price = $0.30)

Bundt Cake Fundraiser

• Compass Committee is organizing the Nothing Bundt Cake Fundraiser again this year! Forms should have gone home with all students this week. Funds raised will go directly back to our schools, community and students. Order forms are due September 28th. Please contact Faye Stacey if you have any questions at afstacey47@gmail.com.

Thank you to all of our families who attended the West Open House! We enjoyed meeting our new students and welcoming our students back from last year. It was great to see everyone in the building and excited for the new school year.
