Quarter 4 Project

For this project I decided to do my lips for the color wheel project. I decided this because I wanted to turn a flaw I have into something beautiful. I also chose my lips because I realized nobody else had this idea so I wanted to stick out and be creative. I had to pick primary colors and follow the order of the colors. After I did the primary colors, I had to do the secondary colors. For me to do this, I had to mix the primary color with a tad bit of white. I personally think this is one of the best projects I did this school year because I took my time and really put thought into the project. It also had a great meaning behind it. It didn't start out right but it surely did end beautifully.

For this project we were able to pick the project we wanted to do. I decided to do the linoleum cut project because it looked easy. The checkpoints seemed easy. Let me tell you, this was the most stressful project I've done. It was very time consuming but because I started on time and didn't procrastinate I got finished on time. For the project I chose a heart, butterfly, and a crown because I love hearts, butterflies and I chose the crown just because. For the butterfly to stay white, I had to carve out the drawing and keep the parts I wanted black not carved. This actually took at least 4 classes to do. The parts that weren't carved were covered in black ink. I started out very good and then ended bad. Worst project I've done so far.

For this project I chose value line and texture. During this project, I was going through a lot of hardships and the two emotions I was feeling was love and hate. I thought, somehow I need to make these two emotions come together and make something beautiful. So I came up with this idea of drawing hands and having love on one arm and hate on the other. They would be hand in hand coming together. I wanted to do value line and texture because I had the pleasure of drawing what I wanted and how I wanted. Also, it wasn't too much work. This was the least stressful project I've done for year. It wasn't time consuming and I finished it in two days. It was last minuet though because I wasn't in school for most of the project days. This project may be simple but it has a lot of meaning behind it for me.
