Prairie Lakes AEA is hosting a Virtual Learning Series for special education teachers focused on various legal topics. Attorneys from Ahlers & Cooney, P.C will be presenting on common issues that cause difficulties for special education teachers.


Topics to Include:

  • Eligibility & Re-Evaluations

    • January 24
  • Least Restrictive Environment (including placements and continuum of services)

    • February 21
  • Manifestation of Disability

    • March 13
  • Legal Requirements of Data-Based Decision Making & Progress Monitoring

    • April 10
  • Legal Requirements of IEPs & IEP Meetings (including parent rights & involvement)

    • May 8

This Virtual Learning Series will include 5 one-hour sessions. Each session will include a different topic(s) of interest.
