Three Ways to Get Involved This Year!
Hello Spring Creek Families,
1.Join our PTA and Zoom with us this Wednesday, Sept. 23rd at 6:30 at our first General PTA Meeting. There are so many ways to get involved. Here is the link: Join Zoom Meeting

2. School Site Council (SSC)
Spring Creek Matanzas is looking for Site Council members. Site Council will serve in an advisory capacity to lead our 2021-22 reconfiguration decisions. Our first meeting will be on Wednesday September 30th at 9:30. Please notify me at skearney@rvusd.org
of your interest to join.
3. English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC).
The ELAC is a committee for parents or other community members who want to advocate for English Learners. The purpose of ELAC is to advise the principal and school staff on programs and services for English learners and the School Site Council (SSC) on the development of the Single School Plan for Student Achievement. We are looking parents to be apart of this committee. It meets 4 times a year for an hour. Our first meeting is Sept. 30th at 11:30-12:30. Please email me at skearney@rvusd.org if you are interested.
Texting /Email Teachers:
Please be mindful of number of texts and emails you send your child's teachers. The best teacher is one who is rested and rejuvenated from time away from school business. They care deeply for your child and often give more at their own expense. Teachers have 24 hours to respond to you. Thank you.
Attendance: Call the Office to Avoid an Unexcused Absence
If you know that your child will be absent from class, please call the office 545-1771 and inform our office manager, Mrs. Hall or our clerk, Mrs. Ausiello. Sending a message to the teacher is kind, but does not replace calling the office to report the absence, tardy, or early out. We are keeping track of daily attendance, so it is very important that you communicate with us so that your child is not marked with an unexcused absence.
Having Technical Difficulties?
If you are unable to log-on to due to technical difficulties, please call the office the day of to avoid truancy. Then call our IT hotline at 707 542-7375 EXT:1005 between 8:00 and 10:00 for support.

Three Tips to Help your Child be Successful During Distance Learning:
- Lay out clothes to wear the next morning
- Look at the daily/weekly schedule the teacher shared
- Help your child organize and layout the materials they need for the daily lessons
2. Provide a quiet work space for your child. Using earbuds or headphone can help eliminate background noise.
3. Praise and encourage them for logging on, sticking with it, showing respect, staying focused, completing a problem or two! Catch them making good choices.
