A California study found that children who were chronically absent in kindergarten and 1st grade were far less likely to read proficiently at the end of 3rd grade. And further research shows that students who are reading proficiently by the end of 3rd grade are more likely to graduate. Let's get our students to school every day, ready to learn and succeed! Chronic attendance is defined as a student who averages two absences a month. Students who report to school every day of the week on time will be entered into a raffle as we want to recognize when students meet school expectations.

Join our school community for the Cleveland Heights-University Heights PTA Night at the Cavaliers game on Friday, December 16th vs the Indiana Pacers. For every ticket purchased $10 will go back to the PTA. We are looking for Exceptional Children's Advocacy Group (ECAG) Family Representatives to volunteer at schools to provide inclusion support and ideas to our schools and families.

ECAG Family Representative helps to:

• Build better relationships with schools
• Connect with families in the community
• Build relationships with parents
• Contribute to the creation of inclusive activities and programs
