Belle Elementary
February 2022
WELCOME!
Parents play the most important role in their child's education. As a parent you are your child's first teacher, and you are their consistent teacher throughout your child's eduacational years. To help your child's academic success it is important that you read with your child a minimum of 20 minutes a day, encourage school attendance, and review graded assignments with your child. Please check for correspondence from the school daily.
Your child's success in school is important to all staff at Belle Elementary. We strive that all students have great days at school. If you haven't joined with your child's teacher on Class Dojo or Class Tag, I encourage you to join one of these forms of communication. It is amazing to see the great things that are going on in your child's class and be informed of your child's learning.

TIGERIFFIC TRAITS
February’s Tigeriffic Trait is “Be a Doer”. Be a Doer is the only trait I am asked questions about, so I thought it would be a great one to explain. By February, we have featured 6 months of Tigeriffic Traits (Be A Goal Setter, Be Here & Be on Time, Be a Listener, Be a Tough Worker, Be Confident, and Be Friendly). In addition we have covered daily the Big 3 - Be Kind, Be Responsible, and Be Safe and Classroom Expectations. “Be a Doer” is a Tigeriffic Trait that recognizes students who are being a doer of all these character traits that we have learned this year. It is not focused on just one trait, but recognizes students who are doing well in practicing the many traits we have learned this year. It is a great accomplishment for a young student to have learned and practiced so many character traits!
