Thomas College Softball '22
Anna Piirainen played three years of collegiate softball at Thomas College with one year away due to COVID. She was voted team captain for two of the three years. Her softball career started at Oxford Hills, and she played four years of varsity softball for Cindy Goddard.
Thomas College Basketball '22
Anna Piirainen played two years of collegiate basketball at Thomas College. Basketball has been a favorite sport of Piirainen's since being a part of the Oxford Hills program. She played four years of varsity basketball for Nate Pelletier.
While this is an amazing opportunity for this upcoming professional, during the day she is most commonly referred to as Miss Piirainen at Massabesic High School. Anna teaches 11th and 12th grade English and just completed her first year of being an educator. She has loved being in the RSU57 school district and plans to positively impact on the community in a new way.
