Impact Aid Forms
What is Impact Aid? It is essentially money the federal government pays in lieu of taxes to schools that educate the children of federal workers. The form asks parents to list their job and where they work. Simply working on federal property like on Redstone Arsenal (NASA, Army, etc.), a federal courthouse or for TVA, will qualify the district for this money no matter if it is a military, civil service, or private contractor job. One form per child is required.

Cross Country JV Boys place 2nd in Arab
The Senators Cross Country Team competed this past Saturday in the Arab Invitational.
Once again the Boy’s JV team came to win. Five runners finished in the top 16 giving the team a 2nd place finish only TWO points out of 1st place. Placing in the meet were Freshman Omar Myers in 5th and MMS 7th grader Patrick Moody, who also set a new Personal Record (PR), finishing 7th. Also improving their 2 mile time were Freshmen Noah Terry, Rush Fuller and MMS 8th grader Brody Wallace.
The JV Girls were lead by Freshman Elisha Jones with a 3rd place finish. Freshman Lauren White had a great day setting a new PR in the 2 mile event. The girl’s team finished in 5th place.
Our Varsity Boys had two top ten finishers, Senior Harrison Miller with a solid 2nd place and Sophomore John David Ray with a 10th. MMS 8th grader Austin Al’Dijaili earned himself a new PR at the 5K distance. The team finished 3rd out of 8 teams, just missing out on the 2nd place trophy. The final race of day was the Varsity Girls 5K. Junior Makayla Tomaino had her best time of the season giving her a 10th place finish. The Varsity Girls finished in 7th place in team standings. Great meet Senators! The team’s next meet is Saturday, October 1st in the Jesse Owens Classic.
