What's Happening at Trollwood?
Sun Celebration was an amazing success! Tremendous job to all of the students who performed and participated at Sun Celebration - you all were incredible! And thank you to everybody who came out to support our students and show them that this community appreciates the performing arts! Sun Celebration marked the end of Trollwood Academy and Totally Trollwood Academy and we can't believe they're already over. June flew by!
The cast and orchestra of Singin' in the Rain came together for the first time this week at sitzprobe on Monday and Tuesday. It was an incredible sound as the voices of the singers combined with the music of the orchestra to really get a feel for how the performance will sound.
We're looking forward to our July programming as Totally Trollwood Musical, Trollwood Children's Theatre, and The Trollwood Players are set to kick off and ArtSpark returns for weeks four and five. Totally Trollwood Musical begins with orientation next Wednesday, July 5 while Trollwood Children's Theatre and Trollwood Players begin rehearsal on Monday, July 17.

Sun Celebration
Our students showed off all of this summer's accomplishments as they performed and gave demonstrations of everything they have learned this summer at Sun Celebration. It was amazing to see our grounds packed with guests supporting these amazing, talented young artists. They deserve every bit of support and appreciation! The finale in the Imagine Amphitheater closed out the night with a bang with a performance by the Musical Theatre Conservatory class, Senior Recognition, and a sneak preview performance from Singin' in the Rain. Check out photos from Sun Celebration below.

Singin' in the Rain - Buy Your Tickets!
The “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time” is faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green, from their original award-winning screenplay in Singin’ in the Rain. Each unforgettable scene, song, and dance is accounted for, including the show-stopping title number, complete with an onstage rainstorm! Hilarious situations, snappy dialogue and a hit-parade score of Hollywood standards make Singin’ in the Rain the perfect entertainment for any fan of the golden age of movie musicals. Singin’ in the Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline – the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren’t always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina’s squeaky voice might be the end of her career in “talking pictures” without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.
Behind the Scenes
The Singin' in the Rain costume team led by costume designer Mary McClung and costume shop manager Manda Apony-Moriarty is working hard to create the costumes to transform the actors into 1920's Hollywood stars. The team is building many of the costumes from scratch and altering many more as they bring McClung's designs to life. Check out photos of the costume team below!
