8th Graders dismissed at 11:00 AM

Thursday, June 15th: Modified Early Dismissal Schedule

No lunch served; school day concludes at 12:40 PM

All other days prior to 6/14/23 are normal school days!

8th Grade ChromeBook Check

Monday June 5th please plan to leave your ChromeBook, Charger, and Bag at LVMS in PM Homeroom. The technology team will use this time to complete inventory while we are on the 8th Grade Trip.

LVMS Class of 2023 Promotion Ceremony

LVMS Promotion is scheduled for Wednesday, June 14th at 6:00 PM (rain date Thurs. June 15th)

• Outdoor Promotion Ceremony is planned (tickets not necessary)
• In the event that the rain date is utilized / the Promotion is moved indoors, each family will be provided with two (2) tickets to attend in person
  

• Dress Code for Students: “Classy Casual” attire; polo/button down shirts and khaki pants/shorts for the boys, appropriate length dresses or dress shorts for the girls. Temperatures may be warm so we recommend seasonally appropriate outfits. Students will have to walk on grass - please choose shoes suitable for that purpose.

• Guests should plan to arrive after 5:00 PM. The entrances to campus parking will be closed until 5:00 PM while we finalize preparations for the 6:00 PM event. Guests are encouraged to bring a bottle of water to the ceremony.

• Promotion Rehearsals - in the days leading up to the Promotion, please make sure your child is present in school. Students must participate in rehearsals if they intend to participate in the Promotion Ceremony.

The LVMS Chess Club recently wrapped up another year of fun and competition. A special shout out and congratulations to our tournament winners, Bryce Edwards and Edward Strebel. Thank you to all the students who participated Monday mornings in Mr. Ryan's room. The Chess Club looks forward to another fun filled 2023-2024 school year.

Fall Sports Student Meeting - Friday, June 9th

Attention all current 6th and 7th grade students interested in playing fall sports at LVMS. There will be a brief meeting held Friday, June 9th in the Library immediately after announcements. Students interested in Boys & Girl´s soccer, Field hockey, and Cross country should plan on attending. Any questions or if unable to attend please reach out to the specific coach below:

Soccer (7th/8th Graders)

The 8th Grade Celebration Dance is happening 6/9, 7-9:30 p.m. Please RSVP for your student by 6/5. Volunteers are also needed to help out or to loan an outdoor game for the night. Please sign up here.
