GRADES IN TOUCH SYSTEM DATA ENTRY
Important things to know about assignments and test:
- Student assignments and due dates are listed on their agenda in Google Classroom each day.
- Students are assigned a daily lesson on SAM (typing software). Daily assignments not finished in class can be completed at home or in tutorials.
- Students can retake a test with a failing grade for a maximum grade of 70. The retake must be done within one week of the test. By attending a tutorial prior to retaking the test the student can improve their test grade up to a 75.
RESOURCES FOR TSDE
Welcome to the digital age in education. Students work exclusively in a digital environment in TSDE. Their assignments and tests are provided to them through Google Classroom and SAM Cengage. I use these digital products to provide your students with technological skills to help prepare them for working in a world that is becoming more and more technology driven.
SAM CENGAGE
In TSDE we use SAM (Skills Assessment Manager) as our typing software. It is an online resource and it uses skill-based assessments, interactive training, real-world projects and just-in-time remediation to help students master essential computing skills. When working from home SAM can be accessed through ClassLink or directly through their website – sam.cengage.com.
GOOGLE CLASSROOM
I use Google Classroom daily for the student agenda and several times a week to provide students with assignments that will help me to access their learning. Students can access Google Classroom three ways, through ClassLink, classroom.google.com or through the Google Classroom App on their phone. The best source for gaining access to Google Classroom is through ClassLink.
REMIND APP
I encourage all of my students and their parents to sign up for the Remind App. This is a quick and easy way to reach me after school hours if you or your student has a question. Normally I do not check my emails after 5 but I can always be reached through the Remind App.
CLASSLINK
We are so excited to offer ClassLink to the students this year. ClassLink is a launchpad where students can access all of their applications from school such as Google Classroom, SAM, Home Access Center, Online Textbooks, and their H Drive server space within the district.
