KNOW YOUR...FIRETRUCK?!?!
Our Know Your Car class engaged in a hands-on learning opportunity recently with our local fire department. Students learned about a firetruck and the monthly maintenance it undergoes. Understanding the maintenance routines for different types of vehicles, especially those used in critical services like firefighting, can be educational and inspiring. It's an excellent opportunity for students to gain practical knowledge about the importance of regular upkeep and safety measures for specialized vehicles. These types of experiences can leave a lasting impact on students and broaded their understanding of various aspects of vehicle maintenance.
REEL-Y GOOD TIME IN AQUATICS
Students in Mrs. McCauley's Aquatics class spent some time building fishing rods! This hands-on activity is a practical and engaging way for students to learn about the components of fishing gear, the mechanics of rod construction, and the art of customization. Not only does it provide insights into the technical aspects of angling equipment but also encourages creativity and craftsmanship. Students can gain a deeper appreciation for the intricacies of fishing gear and the satisfaction of creating something functional with their own hands.
