Teacher Appreciation Month

Please join us in celebrating some of the hardest working, most caring teachers around. Each day in May we will celebrate a Buchanan High School Teacher and honor their dedication to their students and school community. I couldn't ask to be a part of a more cohesive, loving, comical bunch of teachers and I am so proud to be a part of this BUCK FAMILY!

The most silly history teacher ever! Class is never boring and he always makes me laugh

Mr. D- thank you for always talking about soccer with me and saying hi to me in the hallways!

Mr. D: he always makes learning history fun and will talk about mostly anything or just joke around.

My favorite thing about Mr.D is that he has a really good personality and he makes learning fun.

Mr. DeOrnellas- He makes his class laugh but also takes time to help his students or help a new student with work. He also boost peoples feelings.

Mr.D is my favorite teacher. He annoyed me very much but I guess all teachers do that, I am going to miss his class the most even though I didn't really understand what was happening more than half the time. He is a great teacher.

Mr. D always puts a smile on your face with his 10/10 dad jokes. No matter where he is or what time of the day it is, he’s always making them.

Mr. D; he always makes the notes fun to take by his personality and he always helps the student out for however long they need so they understand what is happening.

I had Mr. D for social and political issues my sophomore year. That class was so full and honestly I don’t think it was because everyone had a passion for social and political issues, it was because everyone liked having Mr. D as a teacher. We did have assignments and projects in that class and I always found them very quite enjoyable because I do like social and political issues. But the part of the class that was most enjoyable was talking to Mr. D about what we learning or listening to him lecture on a subject. Not everyone is able to make kids who might not have normally cared about a subject be engaged and want to share their opinion. Also, I think Mr. D really sets a tone in his class for tolerance of people with differing opinions, I know he has taught many BHS students that it’s okay to be vocal on your opinion and still respect the opinions of those around you.

My third hour teacher is Mr. D. He is probably one of the most famous teachers, and he understands how to be funny. And he makes the halfway point of the day easier on everyone.

Dear Mr. D, What up home slice? Not being in your class is a total bummer but I'm persevering. Thank you for teaching me about all the History.

Mr.D - I like how he keeps me on track and he understand what i am going through. i like how you can sit and talk with him about your problems and he wont care. i like how he takes his time with his kids and he never holds back.
