Associate Assistant Headteacher - Miss L Whale

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to start this week’s newsletter in a very similar way to last week - by expressing how proud I have been of all our Year 2 pupils throughout their sats assessments. Every pupil tackled the papers with immense focus and resilience and many expressed how much they had actually enjoyed showing us what they could do! Thank you to all the parents/carers of our Year 2 pupils who have supported with completing home learning tasks set and thank you again to our dedicated staff who helped to ensure that the children were ready and comfortable with the process.

Next week reminder

Monday 22nd May - Robinwood Parents information evening for Year 6 parents.

Thursday 25th May - Whole school Cross County (in school time, children will need their trainers)

Friday 26th May - Forest School for Year 1

Here are a few pictures from this week in school

Year 2 joined a Lyfta live lesson celebrating cultural diversity. They loved have their responses read out to lots of other schools. We entered the story world of Sylvain, a London Tube station officer and learnt how he tries to spread joy each day to the people in the community.

E-Safety information

In order to support children and parents who are trying to understand how to implement the safe use of electronic devices at home, we will be offering a workshop for parents after the half term. This will include showing parents how to make use of monitoring apps on devices at home as well as some advice around age ratings for certain applications and games.
