RCHS Administration

Express Check In

• This is a mandatory, online process for all students and must be accessed through the “Parent Portal” in Infinite Campus (IC).

*** This must be completed for each student by the Primary Parent/Guardian. ***

• Students will not be allowed to attend classes until the Express Check-in is complete.

• Express Check-in will open at 9:00 am on Wednesday, July 19th and will close on Friday, July 28th.

• The link will be on the homepage of our website at RockCanyonJags.com starting July 19th.

• If you need help resetting your password in IC or if you need help setting it up, please email rchsportal@dcsdk12.org.

• You will not be able to pay your school fees during the Express Check In process.

• School fees will be assessed around September 1st and they will be due by October 1st.

If your student will NOT be attending RCHS, (please read below).

• Rock Canyon remains a premier high school with a solid reputation in academics, activities and athletics. We have an extensive wait list of students who would like to attend our school.

• If your student will not be attending RCHS next school year, please email dvannatta@dcsdk12.org as soon as possible and include your students name and the school that they will be attending..

Freshmen

• Will start one day earlier on Tuesday, August 8th, for a fun, informal orientation day with students from the Link Crew. The Link Crew will be reaching out to those students with additional information.

New Students (Grades 10th-12th)

• Students who are new to Rock Canyon in grades 10-12 will have orientation on Tuesday, August 8th. More information to follow closer to the beginning of August.

First Week of School

• Tuesday, August 8th - Freshman & New Student Orientation

• Wednesday, August 9th - First day for all students (9-12) / Black Day (periods 1, 2, 3, 4)

• Thursday, August 10th - Gold Day (periods 5, S-A, 6, 7)

• Friday, August 11th - Jag Day (periods 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7)

School Supply Lists

• Each teacher has their own supply requirements based on the subject they are teaching.

• Students will receive information on required materials during the first week of classes.

Student Pictures

• We will be taking pictures for student ID’s/ yearbook on Tuesday, August 8th in the Gym for aLL students. *Seniors do not need to come, unless they are a new student.

Activity Cards

• Please add the optional fee in Express Check In before the photo IDs are printed on picture day.

• Activity Cards cannot be purchased on picture day.

• If Activity Cards are purchased after the student ID’s have been printed, there will be an additional service fee of $5.

Yearbooks

• You will get a discount if you pre-purchase your yearbook in Express Check In.

Parking

• The Parking Permit Application will be part of the Express Check-in process.

• Please read and follow the instructions carefully, before submitting your application.

We ask that you do not unsubscribe from this email list as it will be the main line of communication from the RCHS Administration and the Front Office.

On Tuesday, August 8, from 9:00 to 3:00 in the RC Commons, Barnes & Noble will be on-site to sell novels required for all English classes.

Credit card purchases only—no checks or cash.

Required novels are posted on the English department page on the RC website.
