August 2023
Welcome To Tierra Del Sol Elementary
Dear Tierra Del Sol Family,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. I hope you enjoyed your summer and have made long lasting memories with your children. I am honored and privileged to start another school year at Tierra Del Sol.
At Tierra Del Sol, the teachers and staff are committed to providing a positive, challenging, and academically-oriented learning environment for all students. Our goal is to provide learning activities which require high levels of critical thinking and reasoning, accompanied by application of learning to real-world situations.
One of the most important components of a great school is the partnership between the school and parents who work together for the best interest of children. The close partnership between home and school is one of the exceptional strengths at Tierra Del Sol. I appreciate and encourage parents to be actively involved. It is my hope that all of us- families, teachers, and staff will work together to continue to foster in our students an enthusiasm for learning and an appreciation for education.
MY PERSONAL EDUCATIONAL VISION
Our Tierra Del Sol community is a family. As educators, we must treat each child as if they were our own. We must work together, support each other and realize that no one person is bigger than the school/family.
We will all work hard, support one another and grow together. Our school is our family – success is a by-product of our commitment to working together and respecting each other.

SIF
This year we are asking that the SIF (Socioeconomic Information Form) be submitted online prior to September 29th! The information we receive helps support the amount of our Title I funding as a campus
To complete this information, simply click the link: https://sif.yisd.net.
If your family has more than one student at your school, only one SIF must be completed as long as each child's name is on the form. If your family has children at numerous campuses, they must compete the SIF at each campus. If you have questions regarding the SIF please contact us at (915) 434-5800
In addition, we have a new application we will be rolling out that allows family members to view everything from the menu, to the nutritional value and even allergy considerations.
