Dear Families of C.B. Greer Fifth Grade Students:

The end of the school year is upon us as well as the end of your child’s elementary school career! We are glad to announce that we will be able to celebrate our Fifth Grade students with a Celebration of Honors and Graduation on Thursday, May 27, 2021!

In order to host this event, we are taking a different approach so that we can offer this opportunity to our students and families. We have created a number of guidelines for the purpose of helping us maintain safe practices, and these practices have been reviewed and approved by district staff within Glynn County Schools. We appreciate the support and cooperation our families will give on this special occasion. We are always available for questions should families want to know more about our guidelines or wonder why they are in place.

We look forward to this special time with our students and families! Teachers and school staff will reach out soon to confirm family attendance.

• Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

• Graduation will be held in the Gym.

• Classes will be recognized separately and only the guests of that individual classroom will attend at the specified time. Waiting guests will not be allowed inside the Gym until their scheduled time.

• Homeroom Classes and Times

• Cohen @ 8:30 AM - 9:00 AM

• Camacho @ 9:15 AM - 9:45 AM

• Dempsey @ 10:00 AM - 10:30 AM

• Haugen @ 10:45 AM - 11:15 AM

• Nash @ 11:30 AM - 12:00 Noon

• Shipley @ 12:15 PM- 12:45 PM

• Students will have the ability to invite two guests. Guests will confirm attendance.

• Visitor chairs will be paired and arranged with distancing in mind.

• Guests will follow safe school practices.

• Guests will be required to wear a face covering.

• Guests will be reminded to maintain social distancing.

• Guests will not interact with students inside the school or gym.

• Chairs will be sanitized between groups.

• Two restrooms will be available for guests.

• Following the ceremony, students will return to their classrooms for the remainder of the day, and families will exit the gym through the outside doors.

• Student early dismissals must occur through the office and not from the ceremony.

As a reminder please remember to check your child’s temperature daily. Also, if your child has symptoms of COVID-19, has tested positive for COVID-19, is awaiting results for a test, or has been in close contact with a person with COVID-19, please contact the school for directions before sending your child to school. Thank you.
