Welcome Back!!!! I hope you found rest, plenty of food and fun with family. Now as we return to work, we must have an unwavering focus for the next three weeks. In the last Passport, we reviewed our 50/50 accountability. Attached below you will see our 2018-19 SEI report with the ACP passing percentages that contributed to our score. As shown with our overall passing percentages, we ALL have room to grow. "We Can . . .and We Will"

A Goal without a plan is merely a wish! So how will we meet our goal?

• Effective PLC - academic minds coming together for first good instruction
• Solid Exemplars - maps that ensure rigorous expectations for all
• AgMo Laps - inspect what we expect
• ACP Action Plans - pinpointing the gaps and building bridges
• Crucial Conversations - (students) to inspire them for success and let them know they can (peers) to encourage them because this work is hard but rewarding

So stay the course. Know that you are the right person, in the right place for this particular time. Review the plan with your team, your ILT, CIC and AP. Ensure that your classroom is prepared each day for students so they feel the urgency to focus. Uphold our cultural expectations during transitions, in the classroom and as we dismiss. Consistency is IMPORTANT for students. I appreciate each of you and look forward to our OUTSTANDING results.

Make a donation of $20 or more to the United Way and wear jeans on college day until the winter break. Donations can be made easily, just check the email sent from Ms. Blanco. After submitting your confirmation to the main office, you are set!! Our goal is to have 100% participation from our PIEDMONT family. UPDATE with your $20 donation you can add free dress on Dec. 16 - 19! (free dress includes jeans or sweats, no tights)

Teachers are encouraged to display places and pictures they have visited in Europe. Many of our students need you to share your journey as they plan for theirs.

Mr. Saucedo attended the Piedmont HOA dinner. Members of this Association serve on our SBDM committee, work with our students in an after-school program in the apartments and work really hard to make our Piedmont Community Night Out successful. We love serving this community!

Piedmont GLOBAL was able to provide 6 families, two per grade level, with Thanksgiving meals. It is so important that we continue to model our civic responsibility to care for one another.

Each family attending Coffee with the Principal left with valuable school information, student ACP information, adult ESL class information and boxes of snacks.
