Students aged 12 and over (and their parents) are cordially invited to a free Covid-19 vaccination clinic. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered in a safe setting, supported by first responders from Spencer and Rutland.

The clinic will be on May 21st at Rutland Public Library, 280 Main Street. You must turn 16 on or before May 20. Your parent or guardian is welcome to register to be immunized along with you!

Members of the Class of 2023 will have their first opportunity to take the English and Mathematics MCAS tests in the upcoming weeks. These two MCAS tests are currently a graduation requirement for the sophomores -- they have not been waived. The Science MCAS has been waived for the Class of 2023.

The English MCAS will be offered at Prouty during the week of May 24. It is only offered in person. Remote students will be invited to come in to take the test. However, there will be an opportunity to take MCAS in the fall with no penalty for students who do not feel comfortable coming in before they are vaccinated.

Students who will graduate in 2022 do not have to pass an MCAS exam to earn a diploma in Massachusetts. However, they are invited to take the MCAS if they would like to qualify for the John and Abigail Adams Award, a scholarship that covers tuition (but not fees) at all Massachusetts state and community colleges, along with the University of Massachusetts.

If your son or daughter would like to take the MCAS this spring, please let us know. There will also be two opportunities next year.

Office hours are planned for May 20 at 7 PM.

All meals served by the Spencer-East Brookfield Regional School District (SEBRSD) will be free of charge until further notice. Families of children 0-18 years of age are eligible for the service -- no questions asked. High school students who are over 18 are also eligible.

We will have free meals here at school for all in-person students, every day. Please let us know if your student needs vegetarian, gluten-free, or dairy-free meals.

Vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free meals are available.

**PLEASE STAY HOME AND LEARN REMOTELY IF YOU FEEL SICK, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE COUGHING, SNEEZING, SORE THROAT, A FEVER, OR A RUNNY NOSE. IF YOU COME TO SCHOOL WITH THOSE SYMPTOMS, WE WILL HAVE TO SEND YOU HOME.**

--Please keep your mask over your mouth AND your nose unless you have a teacher's permission to remove it for a mask break or to eat. When you find a mask you can tolerate, get more of that kind. Only surgical-style face masks are allowed. No bandannas, ski masks, or gaiters.

--Please stay six feet behind the person ahead of you when you are walking or waiting in line. If the line stops, please stop, leaving that six foot space.

--Please bring a water bottle. Bottle filling stations are open, but bubblers are closed.

--Please know that we will strictly enforce all safety precautions. If we are to remain open, we as a school MUST prevent the spread not only of COVID-19, but also of the seasonal influenza virus. We must all prioritize the health and safety of the most vulnerable members of our community.

Schoology parent access codes were mailed home on September 23. Please email yorke@sebrsd.org, or call us at 508-885-8505 if yours does not arrive, so we can both check your mailing address and give you your code.

Your parent account will allow you to view your student's classes and groups, without any danger of changing or breaking anything! As always, please email or call with ANY questions!!!
