• Lower School - pick up carpool tag/windshield stickers in the classroom and school calendar in the cafeteria.
• Middle/Upper School - pick up car windshield stickers/school calendar in the Commons
• Schedules for middle and upper school will be available on RenWeb in the afternoon on August 5

We are thrilled to welcome seventh-grade social studies teacher Hunter Edmundson to our Bulldog family! He is a Georgia native who is elated to be back in his home state after four years in Texas. Hunter holds a B.A. in history and a M.A.T. in social studies education from Georgia State University. He is excited to work at GWA and believes that independent schools are fantastic places that allow students (and teachers) to be well-rounded individuals. “I am looking forward to sharing my passion for the study of history and doing the crucial work of preparing middle school students for the next phase of their academic journey.”

GWA parent Patti White (daughter Lydia is entering first grade) will join our middle school faculty as an eighth-grade science teacher. She earned two bachelor of science degrees, one in biology from the University of New Brunswick, and another in education from Saint Thomas University. Patti also holds a master’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Florida. She has enjoyed becoming a part of the GWA community, “The teachers and staff truly care about the students and their families. My daughter would come home daily telling us how much she loves school. I love this school so much, I knew I wanted to be part of the team. I’m excited to share my knowledge and love of science with eighth-grade students and foster a love of lifelong learning.”

A friendly reminder from Dawgs 360 - if you are cleaning out GWA uniform items and spirit wear that no longer fit your child, please consider donating them back to the school to help support student life activities with our gently used uniform sale. Feel free to drop off items anytime between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Monday – Friday in the front office. We can only accept dress-code items that have our current logos (shown in the photo above).

The gently used sale will be held on August 8 during Open House in the cafeteria. Contact Elizabeth McDonel with any questions.
