Queen of Apostles School
Term 4 Week 5 - Thursday 10 November 2022
Wellness Week
This week is Wellness Week and has been a big hit again with our staff and students. They have really enjoyed wearing their sports uniform all week and the activities that have taken place. I hope for families at home it has also been a good opportunity to slow down with no homework to supervise or meetings at school.
Don't forget about the sausage sizzle and footy clinic happening next Monday. I thank our P&F for putting the sausage sizzle on for our students.
We will continue to grow Wellness Week as it is more important than ever to focus on both our physical and mental health.
Swimming Carnival
Well Done to all the Year 4 to 6 students that competed in the Faction Swimming Carnival at Beatty Park yesterday. There were some excellent performances and really exciting races.
Thank you to the parents who helped out, carnivals like this wouldn't be possible without your assistance. Thank you also to our wonderful staff and Mr B for making it all possible for our students.

Christmas Concert
This year we are very excited to be putting on a Christmas Concert for our community on Thursday 1st December. Each class from Kindy to Year 6 will be involved along with our choirs. The P&F book awards will also be handed out on this evening.
We aim to start at 5.30pm and will be finished by 7.30pm. Please keep this date in your dairy as it promises to be a special evening.
COVID Portal
It is still vitally important that parents and caregivers inform the school if their child tests positive for COVID-19.
Parents and caregivers can inform the school of their child’s positive or negative COVID result via this LINK - https://cewa-collections.powerappsportals.com/COVID-19-Self-Reporting-Form/
The information will go directly to me.
If a positive result is recorded via a RAT test it must also be registered on the WA Health RAT register website -
https://datalibrary-rc.health.wa.gov.au/surveys/index.php?s=WDLLNTW4RDX8AWPH
Please do not underestimate the importance of informing us of a positive COVID case. Your actions will ensure the risk to others is minimised and that we do our very best to limit the spread of the virus across our community.
Best Wishes
Mark Ryan
A Word from the Chairman of our School Advisory Council
With the ACM fast approaching your school is looking for nominations on both the School Advisory Committee (SAC) and the P&F.
I have been fortunate to serve on the SAC for a number of years, however, like other members this is my last year at the school.
My experience has been one of gratitude, enjoyment and a sense of accomplishment. Working with a diverse group of people and closely with Mark and Jennifer, the SAC plays a part to bring about changes for the benefit of the school community now and into the future. I would encourage you to nominate before or at the ACM. Your nomination helps ensure the SAC and P&F continues to provide its needed role at your school.
