From the desk of Mrs. Humphries
Hello Everyone,
Next week is Parent Teacher Conferences. We are excited to hold these conferences to share your child’s progress. This is a great time to create and set goals with your child. Each teacher has sent out a confirmation letter, and or email and we ask that you please be on time for your child’s conference as each teacher is booked all day. If you are unsure of your conference time please call the office or parent square the teacher. Please park in the front of our building and enter through the main entrance. You do not have to check into the office.
We are so close to fall break. I know that everyone is ready for a time to spend with their families. We are seeing an increase in some of our younger students playing roughly with others (grabbing, pulling, pushing, taking items away from others), and our older students having cellphones in their classrooms at lunch/recess . Each classroom teacher is reminding students daily of our expectations and we ask that you please remind your child that at school we are creating a safe environment for students to learn.
Thank you for supporting our 1st family/staff school picnic!
Spirit Week!
Afternoon Dismissal
For safety reasons, if your child’s dismissal routine will be changed, you must send a note in with them that morning (For example, your child normally rides the bus, but today he/she will be picked up by car). Changes in transportation will not be accepted over the phone. If there is a change in transportation, the change must be in writing and signed by the parent or guardian.

School Store Fundraiser
I want to personally thank all the families who have already participated in our SchoolStore fundraiser! We are on our way to reaching our goal, but we need everyone's help to make sure our teachers get the essential tools they need to help our students succeed.
If your family has not participated, there's still time!
This safe and easy fundraiser is 100% online so there is no face-to-face selling, collecting money, or delivering products. Your child will receive a prize just for participating, and more prizes will be awarded when goals are reached.
Please help now. It really will make a difference.
Go to https://www.schoolstore.net/sid.t?0000363155 to show our valued teachers your support.
Thanks
Gold Academy
P.S. Family participation is the key to our success, and we are counting on you!

2. Empathy: Children learn to identify and understand their own and others’ feelings. Children also learn how to show care for others.
3. Emotion Management: Children learn how to calm down when they have strong feelings, such as worry or anger.
4. Friendship Skills and Problem Solving: Children learn how to make and keep friends and to solve problems with others in a positive way.
