In January, we were presented with the opportunity to build an electric car! Dover is one of four CTE Centers in New Hampshire that jumped at the chance to pilot this program in the state in partnership with the NH Department of Education and Switch Labs.
While this project is mainly taking place with our Pre-Engineering III students, there will be many opportunities for other CTE programs to get involved! I imagine the electrical, automotive and welding students may also be excited to see this car evolve!
Our kit was delivered on July 6th! As you can see in the images below, the vehicle came with the wheels and steering in place to allow for easy off loading from the trailer that carried it from California to Dover! I can't wait to share more pictures of this project as the year and have included a link to a shared folder below that we will add to as we document the process.

Community College System of New Hampshire is working on purchasing four of these vehicle kits for their Automotive programs across the state too!
