8th GRADE FIELD TRIP/ YEARBOOK TRIBUTES
WHY SHOULD AN 8th GRADER ATTEND THE JAMES RUMSEY/ BLUE RIDGE TRIP?
The 8th grade field trip to James Rumsey & Blue Ridge College is an amazing opportunity for students to begin thinking about post-secondary opportunities as they observe the interworkings of these two institutions. It can also be advantageous for students planning to attend a four-year college or university as well.
Many of these programs offer certificates that allow students to obtain employment right out of high school! In many cases employers then help pay for college classes. It is worth your 8th grader's time and energy to see the programs at James Rumsey and Blue Ridge in person! Don't let them miss this important FREE field trip on March 8th (lunch is provided).
PERMISSION SLIPS WERE DUE TODAY, BUT WE ARE ALLOWING STUDENTS TO TURN THEM IN ON MONDAY BEFORE 1st PERIOD! PLEASE TURN THEM IN WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY, FEB 26th TO MRS. POE IN THE MAIN OFFICE!
