I’ve been on a personal health journey for a while now. It’s been a long road (most of my unhealthy habits affected me internally rather than externally and what you could see) but I’ve learned a lot of tips and tricks along the way.
❗️I didn’t like where I was, and I didn’t like how I felt. I knew something had to change, and I knew my food choices were impacting me mentally & physically (hello 35 😳) more than I wanted to admit.

I have struggled my whole life feeling less than because I was skinny... too skinny. I felt bad about how I looked and just accepted it because I didn’t know what healthy really was. I was bullied and called all sorts of names. It’s crazy! Many of us think describing someone as fat is rude but don’t think twice about saying someone is skinny.

I used to be:
X ruled by calories
X all in on weighing my food
X prepping to take my food everywhere
X never getting off track
× one or not cheat meal a week (or feeling
guilty about it when I did)
X eat something else at every special
occasion
I lost 30lbs in one summer doing it back in
college, but I was a slave to my food. Every
was ruled by how many calories I had left
each day. Don't get me wrong, it helped with
my portion control but every little "cheat
bite" sent me in a spiral of guilt! It wasn't
healthy for my mind! I was so scared of
gaining the weight back, which I did when I
got pregnant with Grayson (this momma
took eating for two seriously!)
Not any more!
I am first to admit, I am still a work in
progress. But this journey so far has been
rewarding, simpler and much more
enjoyable than what I was doing before! Now I can:

not worry about every gram of fat or
carbs

Truth is, I started this health journey because I was physically not okay. The physical pain and signs were proof enough of that.
But what I never expected were the changes in my mental and emotional health!! To see how cutting out certain types of food, and adding foods and supplements drastically changes my mood and mindset has been amazing! 🥰
I used to think that my energy level, emotions, weight, and sleep issues were all NORMAL and just “how I am.” 😬

What do I eat?!
I hear this question a lot. What’s the best way to eat for weight management? For blood sugar regulation? For more energy? For great health in general?
Keto?
Intermittent Fasting?
Whole30?
Vegan?
While there are great things about all of these, I don’t believe any one of them are for every single person.
We are all different people and respond to foods differently. There are special considerations for each of us that need to be taken into account.
The question is, do you know how your body responds to specific foods?

I’ve been poor, very poor, and happy. I have been what some would call wealthy and also happy. My point is you can be happy in both situations, but I much prefer the latter!🤩🤩
Do work that makes you happy. Do work that doesn’t feel like work.
When you start chasing happiness you will find it. (For me, I like to chase Jesus and happiness.)
When I walked away from corporate America 9️⃣ years ago, it wasn’t because I disliked my job. I just chose to chase what makes me happy. I LOVE flexibility with my time and in control of my earnings.

🥤 Caffeine. It’s your best friend, and then your worst enemy. The drinks I used were so bad for me, and while I needed the “high”, I dreaded the crash and just kept drinking the nasty stuff to try to keep on top of the cycle.
😢 You end up locked in this low energy spiral - I remember! I didn’t take care of myself, so I would feel terribly and not have energy to take care of myself.
