We are proud to announce two recognition honors for the Kenosha Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drug Awareness contests.

Cecelia in Grade 2 earned 3rd place honors for her entry to the ATOD poster coloring content

Aniyah, Za'Naya, Za'Niya, Evon, and Chi'Anna earned fourth place honors for their ATOD Special Project submission.

We are proud of their greatness at Grewenow! All of the honored students have been invited to the recognition ceremony on Saturday, April 2.

The following students will be recognized as KUSD Art representatives for the 50th Annual District-Wide Student Art Exhibit. It will run from March 18th through April 24th at the Kenosha Public Museum.

GFTC's March Madness updates:

This MONDAY, March 21 is the Pajama/Sweats spirit day. Please ensure your student's attire still meets the district dress code.

Mark your calendars if you would like your student to get spring pictures taken.

Spring pictures are only of students who prepay for pictures, either by envelope or online.

Wisconsin Students in Grades 3 - 5 will be participating in the Wisconsin Forward assessment during the March 21 - April 29 testing window. Our school is scheduled to take the Wisconsin Forward assessment March 21 - April 14. Your child’s teacher will inform you of the specific dates of testing for their class.

The Wisconsin Forward assessment tests students in the areas of English Language Arts, Math, Science (4th grade only) and Social Studies (4th grade only). One or more subtests may be administered daily during the identified time frame and it is very important that your son or daughter be in school during this time. Students not in school on the scheduled testing days will be scheduled for a make-up test prior to the close of the testing window.

The Wisconsin Forward assessment measures the knowledge and skills your student(s) should have acquired by the time they reach each grade level. Their performance on the assessment will not affect any of their current grades. Please encourage your son or daughter to take the test seriously and do the best they can. The results of these tests will be used to help school staff make determinations or placement in classes to best support your child(ren).

Grewenow Elementary School and the Kenosha Kingfish would like to inform you that your child will be participating in the 2022 Lil’ Fish Reading Program. In coordination with Grewenow Elementary School, the Kingfish have set up a program to help encourage your son or daughter to read more!

• Student logs DUE March 24
• Students who log 600 minutes will receive two tickets to the Kenosha Kingfish game on Tuesday, June 14 at 6:05PM
• Grade K-1 will receive a reading log form and will manually log 300 minutes, Grade 2-5 will keep track on the program "Beanstack" which they've learned about at school.
