Dear Thacher Families:

We are trying to increase the size of our School Council. The role of the council is to help guide the school through the creation and implementation of the School Improvement Plan. We currently only have one parent member on the council. If you would like to join, please email me directly: frich@attleboroschools.com.

Also, DESE is inviting students, parents, education professionals, and community members to participate in a survey that will provide feedback on the whole MCAS program to help inform improvements. They are seeking stakeholders’ input in several areas, including communications and support, data and reporting, and release of test questions.The survey will close at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27. Please contact mcas@doe.mass.edu with any questions.

❄️⛄Happy New Year Thacher Friends & Family!⛄❄️

All students are excited to be starting the Square One Art fundraising project this month!

4th Grade Artists are drawing a Toucan for Square One Art while learning about the Rainforest Habitat.

3rd Grade Artists are finishing a Winter Tree Painting and will be writing a Snow Poem to integrate Art & Poetry. They will be starting a Sun & Moon Picture for their Square One Art next.

2nd Grade Artists have finished their Cardinals in the Snow Painting, and have started Panda Pictures for Square One Art.

1st Grade Artists learned how to draw a snowman, and will be starting their Owl Pictures for Square One Art next.

Kindergarten & Insights Artists used the letters of their name to "build" a Snowman and had so much fun adding snow paint to their pictures! They will be starting Ladybug Collages for Square One Art soon!

I am so proud of all our creative Thacher Students!
