UPDATE--- another FAQ--- students need to complete the assessment in one sitting, the website doesn't save their progress, but they don't have to be online with you. (eg if they start in a Meet with you, but you need to end it so you can get to the other group, they are able to continue working even after you close the Meet)
1. you have to use the Hueneme link. you can't just go to easycbm dot com and expect everybody to know your name. This isn't Cheers.
Here is the link to use: https://hueneme-ca.easycbm.com/
2. have a student not on your list? No problem, you can go to the student tab when you are signed in and "add a new record" so the student will see their name on the list. Just use their name as it appears in Q and Melanie will merge it with the official record. The nightly automation hasn't been set up yet.
3. here are some of the docs that have been created to help you:
Quick video to show YOU what it looks like (don't share with students, it has the actual 3rd grade questions on it)
4. want to see student results? Check out the Reports tab or button. I'm pretty sure the number you see is just the number correct, and it shows their percentile and risk level. This info might help you plan some small groups at some point, but really, this quick measure isn't intended for the deep dive we may have done in EADMS. It's more like a snapshot screener.

Talking Points
If you haven't used it before, you might be looking for a guide, a how to, an instructional piece. Here it is:
1. Go to Clever
2. Open the Talking Points tile--- it might be near the bottom of the screen
3. Take a look at the Talking Points screen. Do you see your class? Do you see where to send a message? That's it. It really is pretty simple.
Need more info? You may be getting emails from them, but if not, take a look at this YouTube playlist of super short videos to answer your questions.
Here's something cool--- it will automatically translate to the family based on their selected language in Q. OR, if you are bilingual and want to use your own translated words, you can turn that off.
If you notice errors (a phone number that is wrong, etc) contact your office manager because that information needs to be updated in Q. Then, it will be updated in Talking Points.
Google Meet
We have purchased Google Enterprise access, which adds various features. Most notably, in Google Meet, there will be an "activities" icon in the top right near chat, where you can create breakout rooms, use poll questions, or allow students to post questions, then "thumbs up vote" someone else's question. You will also be able to record your Meet without concern of the recording expiring. There are other features included in this access, as well. More to come.
My purpose here--- just to give you a heads up. If you are a Meet user, you may notice that icon coming up in the not-so-distant future.
Zoom
Never ever suggest to students that they enter an earlier birth year, for example, to get around something like a birthday filter. That question is there intentionally so the company is compliant with state law. It matters.
A little tip for Seesaw
And something for Google Classroom

Educators using Eduprotocols unite!
Eduprotocols is one way. Many of you may know what Eduprotocols are--- they are a collection of lesson structures that can be repeated for any content. Designed for quick repetitions to cement learning while saving teacher time and increasing student input. Based on Jon Corippo and Marlena Hebern's work.
Are you ready and interested in some collaborative groups to support each other in trying new lesson ideas? Complete this Google form or send me an email and let's see what we can put together!
Here it is... Click here for the Google form to let me know you are interested (you aren't committing to anything).

A Support Site reminder
1. when you need something and you think to email someone and say "should this be a ticket", just put the ticket in, instead of sending an email. It is so much easier for the tech department, and there might be more than one person who can answer your question. This also helps us track common issues. So, just do it--- put in the ticket!
2. Those automated emails that tell you when the ticket is assigned/progress started/resolved/closed--- open them real quick. There could be a note from the technician with a question or suggestion for you. Then, you can reply to the email right there and it will be posted to the ticket.

Mobile Device Refresh time!
If you need an updated mobile device (that is, an iPad or a Chromebook) click that button right below this post and complete that form. I will get one to you as soon as they are ready.
If you completed this form last month, a device has been ordered and I'll get in touch soon!

Student account info
If you have emailed me and asked how to sign into this, or how your students sign into that, chances are, this is the doc I have sent you. It's a lot to keep track of!

Videos to support student tech use
I also have the links to the screenshot Google Slides there. Maybe you want to make your own Screencastify video, or make a copy of the slides and add something specific to your students.
Pro tip--- Bookmark this Doc, or add it to your Drive (don't make a copy of it, click the little Drive icon with the + by the name of the Doc when you open it--- that way you will see when I update it with new videos)
