RES Weekly Buzz

As A. A. Milne wrote, “Piglet noticed that even though he had a very small heart, it could hold a rather large amount of gratitude.” Our little friend was grateful for the abundance he had in his life: great friends, a warm place to sleep, and a few tasty “haycorns” to eat. This holiday season, I am incredibly grateful for the RES community.
As we begin our break for the winter holiday, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all who help make RES a fantastic place to be. We are a community with many gifts and talents, which we share with our students and, most importantly, our students. From the classroom to our homes and all places in between, our collective efforts to raise the whole child are filled with passion, commitment, and a willingness to make decisions that will have a positive and lasting influence in the future for all. Being a caregiver is the most challenging, rewarding, and joyous job.
Thank you for entrusting us with your most precious gifts. I am grateful to talented, creative, curious, optimistic, and resilient students who keep us on our toes and always make us think. Most importantly, they make us better. Our children's faces best express the true meaning of this holiday season. They radiate a sense of enthusiasm, hope, and excitement for life and all that awaits them. Have a safe and joyous holiday season.
See you in 2024!
Amy

Wishing you a warm and happy holiday season from the RES Health Office! Please remain diligent about monitoring your child for illness. If your child has any illness symptoms, please test them with an at-home rapid COVID test. Free COVID test kits are available from the Town of Rockport. Reach out to the Board of Selectmen's Office at Town Hall during their business hours. You can review the RPS COVID protocol here.
The RES Health Office is in need of clothing donations. We will happily accept donations of used items as long as they are in good condition and have been cleaned at home prior to sending in. The following items are needed: (1) winter gloves, (2) snow boots sizes 2 through 8, (3) girls and boys sneakers sizes 3 and up, and (4) boys pants sizes 4 through 14. Thank you!
