WST Weekly Update
October 18 - 22, 2021
Test To Return to School
WST is now able to provide rapid antigen tests to students that show symptoms of Covid-19, or that have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid-19. Students, with parent/guardian approval, have the opportunity to be tested at WST, if they have signs/symptoms of Covid-19, but have not completed a rapid antigen test.
If a student gets ill while on campus, we will offer a rapid antigen test to the student. The test takes approximately 15 minutes, if the results are negative, the student can return to class. If the results are positive, next steps are taken by the school nurse.

Professional Medical Careers
If your student is in Medical Careers, ask them about the different holds they learned and the importance of being able to support their patients in the event of an emergency.
Bremerton Central Lions Club Virtual Auction
There are more than 90 items to bid on in a wide variety of categories. WST even has a beautiful Seahawks sign designed by Welding and painted by Collision Repair Technology. There are items to fit every lifestyle and every budget. You can also donate directly to support the Raise the Paddle, this year supporting the Olympic College Foundation Promise Scholarship.
This year the Raise the Paddle for the auction benefits the Olympic College Foundation Promise Scholarship. Information about the Promise Scholarship website:
Education transforms lives.
But the high cost of college forces many students to give up on their dreams. That’s why we’re partnering with donors to create the OC Promise, a scholarship program that covers the gap between financial aid and the first year of tuition and fees at Olympic College. The program also provides support services to help Promise scholars succeed.
We are now recruiting students for the third year of our pilot program and we’re excited to announce that we’re expanding! In addition to up to 30 students from Bremerton High School, we’re also accepting up to 30 students from Olympic High School for the 2021-22 school year.
