-Unit 3.2 Solve word problems that call for addition of three whole numbers whose sum is less than or equal to 20, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.

ELA:

- Unit 3.2

-Students will use illustrations and key details to describe characters, settings, and major events. They will identify who is telling the story. Students will read prose, poetry and informational text with guidance and support.

GRADE 2:

Math

Students will continue to practice telling time to the nearest hour, half-hour, and quarter hour. As your children are developing new mathematical skills, it is important to keep practicing the “old” skills such as addition/subtraction facts.

E/LA

Students will be practicing writing responses to a variety of literature. Since April is National Poetry Month, we will be working on our poetry writing skills as well.

Reading

We will continue to work on character change in fictional stories. Students will also be reading and listening to different styles of poetry all month long.

Reminder: Students should be practicing their math and reading skills as much as possible using RAZ Kids and IXL.
