Waikīkī School Parent Bulletin - December 20, 2023
Happy Holidays from all of us at the Mindful School!
Dear Mindful School Ohana:
On behalf of the entire faculty and staff of Waikiki School, we would like to extend our Seasons Greetings and wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Winter Intersession. The past two quarters have been filled with lots of learning and fun-filled memorable events -- none of which would be possible without the support of our incredible students, top-notch teachers, outstanding support staff, and supportive families. Thank you for entrusting us with your mindful children and we look forward to seeing everyone when school resumes on January 8, 2024.
Sincerely,
Mr. Kusuda and Ms. Mahoney
In the November 3rd edition of Ka Malu o Kaimana Hila, we introduced November and December's Habit of the Month - CREATIVITY. Examples of creativity could be found all throughout our campus during these past two months. Take a look and the pictures below.

Honolulu Zoo - Christmas with the Animals
Waikiki School 2nd graders along with Ms. Carpenter's bird group made over 50 paper mache' enrichment items for the Zoo. Imagine if you will, pinatas filled with meat and treats for the animals.
Honolulu Zoo - Christmas with the Animals
The students worked really hard to produce these beautiful creations. Over 100 boxes and 150 pounds of flour were used.
Congratulations to Waikiki School teachers Lory Peroff, Michael Ragasa, and Natalia Sandoval who recently maintained/renewed their National Board Certification, an accomplishment that was officially announced last week. Maintaining NBCT certification is a rigorous and demanding process and an achievement that our three teachers can be justly proud of! It puts them among an elite and impressive group of Hawaii educators.
