A Message From The Principal
Greetings!
The first day of school for all Renaissance Students will be August 6, 2020. Students attending Renaissance will attend Mon-Fri. We will still maintain our half day schedule with students either attending in the AM from 8:55-11:55 or in the PM from 12:55-3:55.
I am working closely with teachers to decided how we provide a safe learning environment for all. Please note the goal will be to limit as much movement throughout the building as possible. We also will be requiring MASK in all areas of the buildings, including the classrooms.
Hot breakfast and lunch will be offered but we are still working on a plan for how to safely distribute those meals.
In preparation for the school year please note that students will need to bring their Chromebooks back and forth to school daily in their carrying cases. BACKPACKS OR DRAWSTRING BAGS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
Again, I am excited to work with our students in person and will continue to keep you informed on decisions being made.
Stay Well!
Superintendent Message --Dr. Hanson
Last week, our school board approved our 2020-2021 S.A.F.E. Reopening Plan which included a modified start date of Thursday, August 6th. Our full reopening plan can be found on our district website. We will continue to monitor the local COVID-19 data and consult with the Marion County Public Health Department and make adjustments as needed to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
With the deadline for families to select VIRTUAL being July 20th, our teams are now working diligently to schedule courses, create bus routes, and develop class rosters for all of our IN-PERSON and VIRTUAL students. Families can expect to receive information on these things next week and the first week of August.
Families with students in grades 9-12 who selected the VIRTUAL option will receive a phone call from their school counselor to assist with scheduling their classes for the upcoming school year. Please allow a few days for counselors to reach out to all of their students.
Our food outreach will no longer be operating on Wednesday evenings. Our food outreach will continue on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:00 - 1:00.
Warren's Sonny Day Community Center will have a distribution this Thursday, July 23 from 6 - 7:30 pm at Highlander Park. Via a drive through distribution, the Eastside Rotary Club will be volunteering and giving out food & toiletry items, school supplies and school clothes.
I appreciate the patience and understanding that our families and staff have displayed during this ever changing situation. We will continue to be deliberate and mindful of creating plans that provide the best experience for our students and staff.

New Student Information System-- Synergy
Warren is excited to announce that we have upgraded to a new student information system called Synergy. This means that our old parent portal, Tyler, will be going away. Instead, the parent portal will be upgraded to Synergy’s ParentVUE. ParentVUE is an online tool to help you monitor your student’s education. It allows you to update contact information and provides you with access to the latest information about your child’s attendance and scheduling. Our middle and high school families can view class assignments, report card grades, and course history with ParentVUE.
Once ParentVUE is available, parents who have a previous Tyler account will receive an email with instructions about setting up your new username and password. If you do not have a Tyler SIS account, please complete a registration form located on our parent portal webpage and return it to your school to begin the process of activating your account.
ParentVUE is a great way to stay connected with your student's school and track their academic progress. It also helps us stay in contact with you!

Chromebooks! Please Bring Your Device Daily!
In an attempt to keep students safe we are asking that students bring their individual devices from home to school daily. There will be no sharing of Chromebooks. Chromebooks will not be available in classrooms. Students will need to bring their devices, charging chords, and cases everyday to school.
